Its primary mission is fisheries monitoring in the Indian Ocean to combat illegal practices. It can also participate in marine environmental protection and scientific support missions. Originally an Australian longliner built in 2002 and converted in 2019, it is now equipped with a diving room, laboratories for fisheries sampling, and a rapid-response boat for surveillance operations.

Since October 2019, CAP BOURBON has managed the *Osiris II* on behalf of the PLRH (GIE for the Protection of Patagonian Toothfish and Fishery Resources). It is one of the first modern longliners designed to brave the inhospitable waters of the Antarctic. Amidst growing threats to fishery resources, biodiversity, and compliance with international regulations, CAP BOURBON is proud to contribute to securing the TAAF Exclusive Economic Zone and supporting scientific research through the Osiris II.

The 55-meter-long vessel is operated by a crew of 10 and can accommodate special passengers such as maritime gendarmes, scientists, or students from Indian Ocean maritime schools. The *Osiris II* has already successfully completed its first mission in the TAAF Exclusive Economic Zone. During this mission, it visited various TAAF bases (Amsterdam, Kerguelen, Crozet, etc.), conducted vessel inspections within the TAAF and Réunion EEZs, and retrieved two American gliders—underwater drones—used for scientific data collection.

The Osiris II: CAP BOURBON’s expertise at the service of maritime surveillance and protection.

Length: 55 m
Width: 11 m
Speed: 12 knots (approx. 22 km/h)
Endurance: 80 to 90 days
Crew: 30 members

The Osiris II is a maritime affairs patrol vessel operating in southern waters.
