A company
Reunionese
Based in Réunion, CAP BOURBON specializes in fishing for Patagonian toothfish and Southern rock lobster, as well as in cold storage. From the Southern Ocean to our base in Réunion, our teams combine complementary expertise to catch, preserve, and add value to seafood products.
BETWEEN LAND AND SEA
The CAP BOURBON venture began in 1998 through the partnership of two family-owned businesses united by a shared spirit of innovation: the Le Garrec family shipping company—specializing in large-scale Atlantic and North Sea fishing and a pioneer in distant-water fishing—and SOPESUD, a Réunion-based operator of longliners targeting tuna and swordfish.
Based in Le Port, Réunion, CAP BOURBON owns one freezer longliner: the *Cap Kersaint*, a state-of-the-art vessel built in 2016 incorporating feedback from the crew.
Committed to long-term investment and strengthening its local presence, the company continues to expand its operations, offering tailored cold storage services for frozen food products. It also operates a processing facility for packaging and marketing seafood products.
At its heart, CAP BOURBON is a team of men and women driven by a shared passion: fishing in its purest form!
